Activities & Food

Enjoy an afternoon of fun activities and delicious food brought to you from across all parts of Asia.

Plus, a chance to win a prize in our raffle!

Modern Martial Arts

Join us in the block room for a martial arts demo and to learn a few skills from Modern Martial Arts. Their kids’ classes help students build focus, discipline, and body control while growing confidence in a fun, supportive community.

Traditional Chinese Folk Stories with Yaya

Come and read traditional Chinese folk stories led by Yaya Preschool. Yaya is a Mandarin immersion early childhood program located in downtown Manhattan.

Jegi Chagi (Korean Hacky Sack)

Try a traditional Korean game where you kick a feathered “jegi” and see how many times you can keep it in the air without using your hands. Play solo or team up with friends to pass it around, count your kicks, and see who can keep the jegi dancing the longest!

Sugar Painting

Sugar painting is a Chinese folk art that uses hot, liquid sugar to create edible animals and playful figures! This sweet tradition dates back to the Ming dynasty, when sugar molds were made for festivals and rituals, and later blossomed in the Qing dynasty as artists combined sugar work with shadow play and paper cutting to create all kinds of dazzling designs.

Fluffy Algodón (Cotton Candy Art)

Enjoy whimsical, custom cotton candy creations from Fluffy Algodón NYC – fluffy, photo-ready sweets that turn dessert time into a colorful celebration. First come, first served!

Family-friendly activities for all ages!

Traditional arts and crafts across Chinese and Korean cultures – lantern making, opera mask painting, paper cutting, and more colorful, hands-on projects that let kids and grown-ups create, glue, glitter, and giggle together.
